This year’s top anti-aging advances

Dave Gobel, founder of the Methuselah Foundation, looks back and comes up with a list of the top five anti-aging advances of 2009. He includes mentions of drug research that extends the life of mice, benefits of vitamin D, 3D tissue printing, advances in organ replacement, and more (along with two bonus developments).

I’ve started taking supplemental vitamin D3 this year in part due to the benefits that have been publicized, which combined with the fact that I work indoors and it’s cold seven months out of the year, make it difficult for my body to synthesize vitamin D the natural way, though sunlight. Hopefully I won’t need to take advantage of these other technologies for some time, which is good, since most will need years to mature.
